The Blossom Place provides safe housing, one-on-one support, and resources so former foster and at-risk young women ages 18-24 can learn the life skills, achieve the goals and gain the confidence to blossom into who they were meant to be.

The Taylor House's goal is to bridge the transition to adulthood by empowering residents to become well rounded, self sufficient and confident individuals. The residents will first complete all fundamental criteria for basic living and then continue to maintain the discipline and good habits needed to step out on their own. Our staff, board members and volunteers continually strive to deliver the best possible experience and direction to make their stay and transition successful.

Unity Care youth homes are certified Transitional Housing Placement Programs homes providing housing for both minors and non-minor dependents, specifically transitional age (TAY) foster youth. All youth in Unity Care THPP programs participate in the Independent Living Program (ILP) and/or Transition to Independence Process (TIP) program designed to educate youth with independent living skills including budgeting, college enrollment and financial aid support, job search assistance, driver’s education, case management, preparing meals, and other needs as identified. Youth also receive support to access mental health services.

The Housing Opportunities Providing Experience (HOPE) The Housing Opportunities Providing Experience (HOPE) program of WPL offers transitional housing along with intensive life skills support for young adults that have emancipated from court ordered foster or group home care.

The Rocklin Campus is one of the few community colleges in California that offers the experience of dorm community living. The student housing facility is one co-ed residence hall (North Hall), two stories tall with suite-style rooms. All rooms are double occupancy, and bathrooms are shared between two rooms.
  • • Costs: $3700 per semester (Meal plan, utilities and garbage fees included)
  • • $250 security deposit

Placer County Office of Education offers trusted support from a caring team of individuals. The PCOE Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program​ is focused on providing valuable resources and technical assistance to school districts throughout the county. With a holistic, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary approach, FYSCP assists students in reaching their maximum educational and vocational potential--not to mention their well-being. The PCOE FYSCP has adopted the FosterEd approach to best serve schools, districts, and those children living in foster care.

Whole Person Learning Whole Person Learning (WPL) empowers youth and young adults to thrive in their communities by using a collaborative, individually tailored positive youth development approach. The Youth Empowerment Support (YES) program of WPL offers a peer based model of direct support, groups, trainings and leadership opportunities for TAY, ages 12-26 who are in, at risk of, or emancipated from system services.
